About the Programme
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PB-B.Sc.) is a two-year undergraduate programme designed to inculcate an in-depth understanding of advanced level nursing. Under this programme, aspirants brush up their learning to provide complete medical care to the patients. The students acquire both surgical and non-surgical nursing skills that prepare them for varied real-world clinical and hospital settings.
The programme prepares students to take independent decisions in nursing situations and play a major role in treating patients with care and compassion. The programme curriculum comprises of subjects like Maternal Nursing, Medical & Surgical Nursing, Microbiology and Mental Health Nursing. Advanced knowledge is rendered through classroom & clinical teachings and educational visits.
The broad area of the study involves Introduction to Nursing Research & Statistics which enables students to solve problems related to nursing using scientific methods. The programme transforms students to industry-trained professionals with a strong understanding of the philosophy objectives and responsibilities of nursing as a profession.

Admission Criteria
- Candidate should have a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) .
- Candidate should have a registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (In lieu of RM for male candidate), from any State Nursing Council and his/her registration in duly renewed.
Eligibility from the University
- Candidates before seeking admission in the PB BSc course, shall obtain an eligibility certificate from the University by the remitting prescribed fee and form.
- Admission will be provisional till the University issues an eligibility certificate.
- The college will not be responsible if the University rejects the form.
Attendance
- No candidate shall be permitted to appear for any part of the exam until he/she completes 80% attendance in theory and 100% attendance in practical (clinical) irrespective of any kind of absence.
- Absence from college/clinical without prior notice will not be considered as leave and students will be required to make up those days during the summer and winter vacations.
Vacation
Student will get 15 days winter and 30 days summer vacation. No other leave is permissible.
